This document presents a global Guidance on A whole school approach to prevent school-related gender-based violence: minimum standards and monitoring framework. The limitations of data collection and monitoring mechanisms around school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) are widely acknowledged. This guide provides a framework to guide policy makers and practitioners in designing school violence prevention programmes and strengthening response actions. The prevention model is based on eight evidence-based standards and is accompanied by a monitoring approach with a set of proposed indicators at school, district and national levels. The goal is to enable implementation strategies to be adapted and monitored in order to improve data collection and accountability around incidents of SRGBV at the school, district and national levels.
This document presents an investigating technology, gender and empowerment, African women and ICTS. In bringing more clarity to the way women exert their agency in relation to the use of ICTs, how gender issues hinder or enhance women’s access to and use of ICTs, how women have accomplished their dreams in relation to ICT use, what they needed in order to get there, what obstacles they faced, and how they managed to overcome their internal and external barriers, the authors contribute to a better understanding of the potentials of ICT use. Being the powerful tools that they are, ICTs deserve serious attention. Not to grant them this attention could result in missed opportunities for women, and risk ICTs reinforcing, unintentionally, women’s discrimination and disempowerment

Feminist activists and women’s rights organisations in Lebanon, signatories to this Charter, are concerned with the human toll of the explosion of the Beirut port which took place on August 4th, 2020. This has come against a background of severe economic hardship, an unprecedented loss in the value of the local currency, spiking unemployment and a degradation of public services, all of which exacerbated by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
